Where sessions take place

In-person Natal Readings and Chart Defense Training sessions are held at partner venues in Devon. No client visits or attends sessions at my registered address; it is used for administrative and correspondence purposes only.

Where a session is held at a partner venue, that venue may operate its own security systems, including CCTV, on its premises. Any such system is owned and operated by the venue itself, not by Gumezishn Astrology, and any footage it records is subject to that venue's own privacy policy and data protection arrangements, not this notice. Details of the specific venue for a given session, and how to contact them directly about their own privacy arrangements, will be provided at the time of booking.

What information I collect

The information I collect depends on which service you use.

For Natal Readings (in-person or online), I may collect and process:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Telephone number

  • Date, time, and place of birth (crucial for accurate astrology)

  • Booking and payment information

  • Session notes

  • Any personal information you voluntarily disclose during the consultation or in correspondence

For Chart Defense Training (weekly group sessions, in-person or online), I collect only:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Booking and payment information

Birth details are not required to attend Chart Defense Training, and none are collected for this service unless you choose to share them voluntarily.

For online sessions specifically (either service), your name and email address may also be visible to a third-party video conferencing provider in order to host the session — see "Sharing your information" below.

Why I collect this information

I collect this information in order to:

  • Arrange and deliver astrological consultations and group training sessions

  • Prepare natal charts and other astrological material

  • Maintain client records

  • Respond to enquiries

  • Meet legal and accounting obligations

The lawful basis for processing this information is Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR: processing necessary for the performance of a contract.

Where sensitive personal information is voluntarily disclosed during a consultation or a group session, processing is undertaken with your explicit consent for the purpose of providing astrological services.

How your information is stored

Personal information is stored securely using password-protected systems and is accessible only to Gumezishn Astrology.

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are taken to safeguard personal information.

  • with trusted service providers necessary to operate the practice (for example payment processors, website hosting providers, email providers, partner venues for booking and administration of in-person sessions, or secure video conferencing platforms for online sessions).

Group session attendees are not shown other attendees' personal or astrological information; participation in a group class does not involve sharing your birth details or session notes with other attendees.

How long information is retained

Client records and session notes for Natal Readings are normally retained for seven years after the final consultation.

Booking records for Chart Defense Training are retained for the same period as required for accounting purposes.

General enquiries that do not result in a booking are retained for up to twelve months.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • request access to your personal information;

  • request correction of inaccurate information;

  • request deletion of your information in certain circumstances;

  • object to processing;

  • request restriction of processing; and

  • lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office.
