Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of astrological consultations and group training sessions by Gumezishn Astrology, operated by Dr David Wallace-Hare ("Gumezishn Astrology", "I", "me", "my").

By booking a Natal Reading, and Electional Consultation, or a place at Chart Defense Training, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

3. Services

Gumezishn Astrology provides two services, for educational, reflective, philosophical, and spiritual purposes:

  • Natal Reading: a one-to-one consultation examining your own birth chart in depth.

  • Chart Defense Training: a weekly group class teaching the general skill of reading current sky conditions. No individual birth chart is required to attend.

  • Electional Consultation: analysis to identify an astrologically favourable time for a specific future action or undertaking (for example, launching a venture, signing a document, or beginning a project), within a timeframe agreed with the client.

Both services are available online and, where agreed, in person at partner venues in Devon.

4. Booking and Payment

Natal Reading: full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed. A booking is considered confirmed only once payment has been received.

Electional Consultation: full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed. A booking is considered confirmed only once payment has been received.

Chart Defense Training: sessions are drop-in. Payment is made per session, at or before the session attended, unless a block booking has been separately agreed.

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£). Gumezishn Astrology reserves the right to amend fees at any time. Fee changes will not affect a Natal Reading already confirmed, or a Chart Defense Training block already paid for.

5. Preparation, Cancellations, and Rescheduling

Natal Reading. This consultation involves substantial preparation undertaken in advance, including chart calculation, fixed-star and dignity analysis, and interpretive research specific to you. Payment therefore secures both the consultation and this preparatory work, which ordinarily begins shortly after booking. For this reason, Natal Reading fees are non-refundable once a booking has been confirmed. If you are unable to attend a scheduled Reading, every reasonable effort will be made to reschedule at a mutually convenient time. Where a live or online Reading cannot take place, the prepared material will always be provided as a bespoke package. Gumezishn Astrology reserves the right to refuse repeated rescheduling requests, or to charge an additional fee where substantial further preparation is required.

Electional Consultation. This consultation involves substantial preparation undertaken in advance, including analysis of planetary and stellar conditions across the agreed date range and identification of one or more favourable windows. Payment therefore secures this preparatory work, which ordinarily begins shortly after booking. For this reason, Electional Consultation fees are non-refundable once a booking has been confirmed. Where a live or online consultation cannot take place, the prepared material will always be provided as a bespoke package.

Chart Defense Training. As a drop-in group class, no individual preparation is undertaken in advance of a given session. Fees paid for a session already attended are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend a session you have paid for in advance as part of a block, please give as much notice as possible; missed sessions cannot generally be refunded, but reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate rescheduling within the same block where practical.

6. Client Responsibilities

For a Natal Reading, clients are responsible for providing accurate birth information, including:

  • date of birth;

  • time of birth (where known); and

  • place of birth.

The quality and specificity of astrological interpretation may depend upon the accuracy of this information.

For an Electional Consultation, clients are responsible for providing a clear description of the action or undertaking to be timed, and the date range within which it may take place.

For Chart Defense Training, no birth information is required. Clients remain responsible for engaging with the session material in good faith.

In each case, clients remain solely responsible for their own decisions, actions, and interpretations arising from any session.

7. Group Sessions

Chart Defense Training is a shared learning environment. By attending, clients agree to:

  • treat other attendees with respect and courtesy;

  • respect the confidentiality of anything personal that other attendees choose to share during a session; and

  • understand that group sessions address general sky conditions and technique, not any individual attendee's personal chart, unless that attendee chooses to raise it themselves.

Gumezishn Astrology reserves the right to decline attendance to any individual where conduct is disruptive to the group.

8. Online Sessions

Clients are responsible for ensuring that they have:

  • a reliable internet connection;

  • suitable equipment for online sessions; and

  • a private and appropriate environment for the session.

Gumezishn Astrology cannot be held responsible for interruptions caused by factors outside its reasonable control.

9. Confidentiality

Information disclosed during a Natal Reading, or personal information voluntarily disclosed by any attendee during Chart Defense Training, will be treated confidentially and processed in accordance with the Gumezishn Astrology Privacy Notice.

Confidential information will not be disclosed to third parties except:

  • where required by law;

  • where there is a serious risk of harm to the client or another person; or

  • where disclosure is otherwise legally required.

10. Insurance

Gumezishn Astrology holds public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance appropriate to the provision of astrological consultation and training services.

11. Disclaimer

Gumezishn Astrology provides astrological consultations and training for educational, philosophical, reflective, and spiritual purposes.

Astrology is a symbolic and interpretive practice. Sessions are intended to support reflection, meaning-making, self-understanding, and conscious engagement with life's circumstances.

Astrological consultations and training are not intended to predict fixed outcomes, determine inevitable events, or remove personal responsibility. Clients remain fully responsible for their own decisions, choices, and actions.

Gumezishn Astrology does not provide:

  • medical advice;

  • psychological or psychiatric treatment;

  • counselling or psychotherapy;

  • legal advice;

  • financial advice; or

  • any other regulated professional service.

Nothing discussed during a Natal Reading or Chart Defense Training session should be regarded as a substitute for advice or treatment provided by appropriately qualified professionals. If you have concerns relating to your physical or mental health, you should consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional. If you require legal, financial, or other specialist advice, you should seek assistance from a suitably qualified professional.

Where an Electional Consultation concerns a business, financial, or commercial undertaking, Gumezishn Astrology identifies an astrologically favourable time only. This does not constitute financial, business, investment, or legal advice, and clients remain solely responsible for the merits, viability, and legality of the undertaking itself.

Gumezishn Astrology does not provide elections for medical treatment, diagnosis, or health-related decisions. If a request of this kind is identified, whether at booking or during a session, the consultation will be declined or ended and the fee refunded in full.

While every effort is made to provide careful, thoughtful, and well-researched interpretations and teaching, astrology is inherently interpretive in nature and no guarantees can be made regarding future events, outcomes, or experiences.

By booking or participating in a Natal Reading, Electional Consultation, or Chart Defense Training session, you acknowledge that:

  • you understand the nature of astrological consultation and training;

  • you participate voluntarily;

  • you remain responsible for your own decisions and actions; and

  • you accept these limitations on the scope of the service provided.

Gumezishn Astrology encourages clients to exercise their own judgement, discernment, and agency in all matters discussed during any session.

12. Intellectual Property

All written reports, recordings, handouts, and materials supplied by Gumezishn Astrology remain the intellectual property of Gumezishn Astrology unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Such materials are provided for personal use only and may not be reproduced, distributed, published, or commercially exploited without prior written permission.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gumezishn Astrology shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss or damage arising from the use of services provided.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion would be unlawful, or where cover is provided under the insurance held as described in Section 10.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
