Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of astrological consultations and group training sessions by Gumezishn Astrology, operated by Dr David Wallace-Hare ("Gumezishn Astrology", "I", "me", "my").

By booking a Natal Reading, a Continuing Chart Defense session, or a place at a Chart Defense Workshop, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

3. Services

Gumezishn Astrology provides three services, for educational, reflective, philosophical, and spiritual purposes:

  • Natal Reading: a one-to-one consultation examining your own birth chart in depth, including a comprehensive written analysis and a live debrief session.

  • Continuing Chart Defense: a one-to-one follow-up session, available only to past Natal Reading clients, extending your existing chart work into a new question, life area, or current condition that you direct in advance. This includes preparation beforehand and a written report alongside the live debrief.

  • Chart Defense Workshop: an occasional, seasonal group class teaching the general skill of reading current sky conditions. No individual birth chart is required to attend. Workshops run online, and only when there is sufficient registered interest; registering interest does not commit you to booking or paying.

Natal Reading and Continuing Chart Defense are available online and, where agreed, in person at partner venues in Devon. Chart Defense Workshop is currently offered online only.

4. Booking and Payment

Natal Reading and Continuing Chart Defense: full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed. A booking is considered confirmed only once payment has been received.

Chart Defense Workshop: registering interest is free and non-binding. Once a workshop date is confirmed, payment is required at the time of booking a place.

Payment may be made by bank transfer (BACS) by contacting me here via email before purchasing the service or by card through Stripe, the secure payment service provided on the website.

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£). Gumezishn Astrology reserves the right to amend fees at any time. Fee changes will not affect a Natal Reading or Continuing Chart Defense session already confirmed, or a Chart Defense Workshop place already paid for.

5. Preparation, Cancellations, and Rescheduling

Natal Reading and Continuing Chart Defense

These consultations involve substantial preparation undertaken in advance, including chart calculation, fixed-star and dignity analysis, and interpretive research specific to you.

If you book a service online as a consumer, you normally have a statutory 14-day right to cancel the contract without giving a reason. This does not affect your other statutory rights.

If you ask me to begin preparing your consultation before the end of this 14-day cancellation period, you expressly request that the service begin during that period. If you subsequently cancel during the cancellation period, I may deduct a reasonable proportion of the fee reflecting the service supplied up to the point at which you notified me of your cancellation.

If you expressly request that the service be completed during the cancellation period, and the service is fully performed with your prior express consent and acknowledgement that your cancellation right will be lost once the service has been fully performed, the statutory right to cancel will no longer apply once the service has been completed.

After the statutory cancellation period has expired, fees are non-refundable once preparation has begun, except where you have another legal right to a refund.

If you are unable to attend the scheduled consultation, every reasonable effort will be made to reschedule at a mutually convenient time. Where a consultation cannot be rescheduled, any prepared material that has already been completed will be provided as a bespoke package where reasonably practicable.

Chart Defense Workshop

Once a workshop date has been confirmed and a place booked, the same statutory cancellation rights applicable to distance contracts apply. Where you cancel outside any applicable statutory cancellation period, workshop fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated or required by law.

If you are unable to attend a workshop, please give as much notice as possible. Where possible, you may be offered a transfer to a future workshop date.

If Gumezishn Astrology needs to cancel or postpone a Chart Defense Workshop after booking, registered attendees will be offered a full refund or a transfer to a future workshop date, whichever they prefer.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any statutory rights you have as a consumer.

6. Client Responsibilities

For a Natal Reading, clients are responsible for providing accurate birth information, including:

  • date of birth;

  • time of birth (where known); and

  • place of birth.

The quality and specificity of astrological interpretation may depend upon the accuracy of this information.

For Continuing Chart Defense, this service is available only to clients who have previously received a Natal Reading. Clients are responsible for clearly communicating the question, life area, or condition they would like explored in advance of the session, so that appropriate preparation can be undertaken.

For Chart Defense Workshops, no birth information is required. Clients remain responsible for engaging with the session material in good faith.

In each case, clients remain solely responsible for their own decisions, actions, and interpretations arising from any session.

Age Restriction

Gumezishn Astrology's services are intended for individuals aged 18 and over. By booking a Natal Reading, Continuing Chart Defense session, or Chart Defense Workshop place, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. Gumezishn Astrology does not knowingly provide services to, or collect personal information from, anyone under the age of 18. If it comes to my attention that a booking has been made by, or personal information provided by, someone under 18, the booking will be cancelled and any personal information deleted, with a refund provided in full.

7. Group Sessions

Chart Defense Workshops are a shared learning environment. By attending, clients agree to:

  • treat other attendees with respect and courtesy;

  • respect the confidentiality of anything personal that other attendees choose to share during a session; and

  • understand that group sessions address general sky conditions and technique, not any individual attendee's personal chart, unless that attendee chooses to raise it themselves.

Gumezishn Astrology reserves the right to decline attendance to any individual where conduct is disruptive to the group.

8. Online Sessions

Clients are responsible for ensuring that they have:

  • a reliable internet connection;

  • suitable equipment for online sessions; and

  • a private and appropriate environment for the session.

Gumezishn Astrology cannot be held responsible for interruptions caused by factors outside its reasonable control.

9. Confidentiality

Information disclosed during a Natal Reading or Continuing Chart Defense session, or personal information voluntarily disclosed by any attendee during Chart Defense Workshop, will be treated confidentially and processed in accordance with the Gumezishn Astrology Privacy Notice.

Confidential information will not be disclosed to third parties except:

  • where required by law;

  • where there is a serious risk of harm to the client or another person; or

  • where disclosure is otherwise legally required.

10. Insurance

Gumezishn Astrology holds public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance appropriate to the provision of astrological consultation and training services.

11. Disclaimer

Gumezishn Astrology provides astrological consultations and training for educational, philosophical, reflective, and spiritual purposes.

Historical and religious sources: Gumezishn Astrology draws on historical religious, philosophical, and astrological sources, particularly Zoroastrian and Sasanian materials. References to historical texts and traditions are intended to provide historical, philosophical, and astrological context and should not be understood as an endorsement of every belief, prescription, or social norm found in those sources. Contemporary interpretations presented by Gumezishn Astrology are my own and should be understood as such.

Astrology is a symbolic and interpretive practice. Sessions are intended to support reflection, meaning-making, self-understanding, and conscious engagement with life's circumstances.

Astrological consultations and training are not intended to predict fixed outcomes, determine inevitable events, or remove personal responsibility. Clients remain fully responsible for their own decisions, choices, and actions.

Gumezishn Astrology does not provide:

  • medical advice;

  • psychological or psychiatric treatment;

  • counselling or psychotherapy;

  • legal advice;

  • financial advice; or

  • any other regulated professional service.

Nothing discussed during a Natal Reading , Continuing Chart Defense session, or Chart Defense workshop should be regarded as a substitute for advice or treatment provided by appropriately qualified professionals. If you have concerns relating to your physical or mental health, you should consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional. If you require legal, financial, or other specialist advice, you should seek assistance from a suitably qualified professional.

While every effort is made to provide careful, thoughtful, and well-researched interpretations and teaching, astrology is inherently interpretive in nature and no guarantees can be made regarding future events, outcomes, or experiences.

By booking or participating in a Natal Reading, Continuing Chart Defense session, or Chart Defense workshop, you acknowledge that:

  • you understand the nature of astrological consultation and training;

  • you participate voluntarily;

  • you remain responsible for your own decisions and actions; and

  • you accept these limitations on the scope of the service provided.

Gumezishn Astrology encourages clients to exercise their own judgement, discernment, and agency in all matters discussed during any session.

12. Intellectual Property

All written reports, recordings, handouts, and materials supplied by Gumezishn Astrology remain the intellectual property of Gumezishn Astrology unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Such materials are provided for personal use only and may not be reproduced, distributed, published, or commercially exploited without prior written permission.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gumezishn Astrology shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss or damage arising from the use of services provided.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion would be unlawful, or where cover is provided under the insurance held as described in Section 10.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
